Textured fine silver earrings with gold highlights
These earrings are made with fine silver which has been textured using a geometric design. The texture is highlighted in gold, using the ancient technique of Keum Boo which originates from Korea. The silver is given a dark patina which makes the gold stand out against the dark background. Pure silver is heated until 24ct gold foil will adhere to it and form a durable diffusion bond. This unique piece of wearable art, which complements both gold and silver jewellery, is made by hand in Farnham, England’s only World Craft City. Each hoop measures 1cm long and 0.5cm wide.
